2024 Lincoln Nautilus: Super nice for the price and new inside and out

Lincoln has been trying to appeal to a younger, hipper crowd for years now, and the second-gen Nautilus midsize luxe SUV just might give the brand a little more street cred. It boasts turbo gasoline and hybrid powertrain options, standard AWD, more legroom, a massive 48-in. panoramic display, and some on-point, high-end trims to really deck this ride out.

Buyers can choose from the distinctive look and feel of Premiere, Reserve, and Lincoln Black Label Nautilus models. Each model offers the sporty available Jet Appearance Package with unique wheels, sleek black accents, and more. There is room for five, and Nautilus rides on 22-in. wheels.

The standard 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 250 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission (EPA-estimated rating of 21 mpg city/29 mpg highway/24 mpg combined). Nautilus offers a 2.0-liter turbocharged hybrid engine (HEV) available on all trim levels that can achieve a total system output of 310 hp (EPA-estimated rating of 30 mpg city/31 mpg highway/30 mpg combined). The new 2.0-liter turbocharged hybrid engine is mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission with a 100-kW electric motor. The six-cylinder option of the first-gen vehicles is no longer available.

For the signature gliding drive, the Nautilus is equipped with available adaptive suspension and a suite of sensors that monitor vehicle motion, body movement, steering, acceleration, and braking activities. Additionally, Nautilus features five standard drive modes -- normal, conserve, excite, slippery, and deep conditions -- each one fully integrated so clients can effortlessly select the mode.  

With an evolved face highlighted by a new signature grille, the new Nautilus has a bold, commanding exterior design, as signature lighting features flow from the lit Lincoln Star to the front light bar.

Lincoln's designers have created a graceful, flowing style that maximizes space for occupants utilizing luxurious materials and providing many options for clients to personalize their Nautilus. In addition to the available four signature exterior body colors (Red Carpet, Diamond Red, Chroma Caviar, and Blue Panther), the all-new 2024 Nautilus introduces three new available interior color themes: Black Onyx and Medium Light Space Gray, a two-tone Smoked Truffle, and Black Onyx and Allura Blue (offered as a Reserve model theme).

The Jet Appearance Package, which is available on all trims, includes two-tone paint, available high-gloss black 22-in. wheels, an exclusive interior environment, and anodized black exterior elements. The package offers a sleek and dynamic way for clients to personalize their Nautilus. The exclusive Black Onyx interior, available on Premiere and Reserve models, features a Copper Code aluminum applique, which is enhanced by Dusted Copper accent stitching throughout.

On the road, Nautilus boasts the most feature-rich Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in its class and is among the first vehicles in its class with available hands-free highway driving. With Lincoln BlueCruise assisting with the braking, accelerating, and steering, it creates a quiet and confident sanctuary on wheels. Its improved second-row legroom is among the most spacious in its class.

The reimagined cabin incorporates new ambient lighting along with crystal-inspired details throughout the vehicle that capture the essence of seeing sun reflected on water: a piano key shifter, instrument panel toggles, and audio knob that shimmer. An all-new, flat-top steering wheel allows clients to see over, not through the wheel, giving an overall effect of comfortable openness and a sense of freedom. This SUV is also equipped with the in-cabin Lincoln Digital Scent feature, so clients don't have to buy those oh-so-tacky car-freshener trees any more.
